She has strategic, commercial and operational experience in UK and international healthcare, system leadership and professional ethics. She is chair of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and has been deputy chair at Guy's and St Thomas's NHS Foundation Trust and a member of the London Policing Ethics Panel.

She will continue in her existing and separate role as chair of NHS Frimley.

Singh said: ‘I look forward to collaborating with colleagues, partners, residents and patients across the system to support and improve the health and wellbeing of local people. We know that by working together we can deliver outstanding services and make best use of our resources."

Nick Broughton, chief executive of BOB ICB, added: ‘Priya is ideally placed to lead our board in the next phase of our journey as an ICB and the wider BOB system. I look forward to working with her to improve services and the health of the communities we serve.'

Sim Scavazza, who has been acting chair since May 2023, will continue as non-executive director and deputy chair of the ICB board.
