Grant has been working with the ICB for some months as interim deputy chief people officer. She will replace Caroline Corrigan who has been seconded to the ICB for the past year.
Grant is an experienced chief people officer, working at board and executive level within NHS trusts, ICBs and at NHSE England South East. With a keen interest in workforce transformation, she has led system programmes within Hampshire and Isle of Wight, Frimley and Surrey.
She said: 'I recognise the dedication and hard work of our internal teams, and I am committed to fostering an environment where every member feels supported and valued so that they can successfully deliver the aims and objectives of the organisation.
'Addressing the broader workforce challenges within the NHS is a priority. We must focus on innovative recruitment strategies, continuous professional development, and enhancing workplace well-being. Together, we can build a resilient and motivated workforce ready to meet the evolving needs of our communities.'
Dr Nick Broughton, chief executive of BOB ICB, added: 'Sandra brings a wealth of experience, expertise and understanding of the internal support our organisation needs to thrive. Her passion for people and extensive experience in the NHS at both local and national levels make her a great addition to the executive team.
'She will also work closely with our partners across the Integrated Care System to help build a strong, motivated, sustainable and adaptable workforce that can deliver the highest quality care to our patients and the populations we serve.'
