Hoye was CIO for the primary care sector at the CCG, the UK's largest primary care organisation, for over 10 years. Prior to this, he started out in data analytics in the energy market before working for a supplier of electronic patient records, directing and shaping software and business developments.

He said: ‘Blinx's commitment to social and green values first attracted me to the team – and then I saw what their powerful data analytics could do. Blinx are showing that we don't have to work the way we have for the last 30 years, and we can use this rich data to transform models of care.

‘They have a great set of modern concepts and architecture, and they are set to disrupt primary care in a huge way. I'm here to use my experience of problems in general practice to make a real change.'

Blinx Healthcare's PACO solution allows patients to book, query and share information from home and practices to automate and reduce their workload. Built on scalable modern architecture principles, it helps practices, PCNs, and federations to connect across systems and reduce the 8am rush for appointments.

Gareth Bartlett, chief executive and co-founder, at Blinx Healthcare, said: ‘We are thrilled that Ciaron is joining the team, bringing a decade of experience in transforming primary care through digital innovation. At Blinx, we're dedicated to delivering a truly integrated solution across primary, community, urgent and secondary care.

‘With PACO, we're pioneering the first-of-its-kind Neighbourhood EPR that supports Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, empowering care teams to work more efficiently while enhancing patient access and improving outcomes. With Ciaron's deep passion for data re-use for social good, we're excited to take our mission to the next level and set a new standard for patient-centred healthcare technology.'
