Mayor of Surrey Heath, Cllr Pat Tedder, was one of the first to use the machine at a special event to launch the kiosk on 9 May.

Cllr Morgan Rise, net zero, well-being & environment portfolio holder, Surrey Heath Borough Council said: 'It's important that we all take care of our health – and keeping an eye on our blood pressure and weight is important.

'The kiosk is very simple and quick to use and will take your blood pressure and calculate your body mass index (BMI) from your weight and height readings. You'll get a printout of your results which you can take to your GP if necessary. I encourage everyone to use the kiosk.'

The service at The Square in Camberley is the result of a partnership between Surrey Health Borough Council and Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care System.
