Sussex Health & Care Assembly has appointed Helen Greatorex as independent chair.

Greatorex has extensive experience of working in partnerships within the NHS and councils having held senior posts in Brighton and Hove, West Sussex and East Sussex.

Her new role will include working with and challenging all partners to ensure the partnership fulfils its potential and delivers these improvements.

Greatorex said: ‘I am looking forward to working with the assembly to ensure that the important commitments set out in Improving Lives Together are met, and where possible, exceeded.

‘There's clearly a lot of good will between all partners and a determination to succeed and I'm joining at an exciting time.'
