Successful negotiations between Unite and YAS mean around 30 patient liaison assistants working in patient transport services will move up a pay band from Band 2 to Band 3.

As a result, the workers will see their pay uplifted by £456 a year, with a further uplift of £1,603 once they reach the top of Band 3.

Unite general secretary, Sharon Graham, said: ‘As this result shows, Unite's relentless focus on improving jobs, pay and conditions is putting money in our members' pockets.'
