Stoke-on-Trent is a unique city with a diverse population, forged through a strong industrial heritage, world-renown for our enterprise and craftsmanship. Our communities are tightly woven where the importance of family, neighbourhoods and place all contribute to a strong sense of personal and collective identity. It is a city of kindness, where care for one another runs deep, and the importance of values are central to our identify. We are a historic city, celebrating our centenary in 2025, and it will be our strengths that see us continue to flourish.
However, we know that there are inequalities across our communities that impact upon the wellbeing, prosperity and life outcomes of our residents. With limited resources to shift deep engrained challenges, we are seeking two Consultants in Public Health who have the passion, commitment and the right values to make a lasting positive impact to the city. Our new corporate strategy, ‘Our City, Our Wellbeing', is clear in its vision to create shared wealth and reduce inequalities. And our public health team is driven to create happier, healthier and more fulling lives for the residents of the city. We have real ambition to make a positive difference.
With our renewed ambition, we are rebuilding our public health team with the addition of new Consultant posts who will have the skill, confidence and creativity to work within constrained resources to make a lasting impact. These are challenging roles, but for the right individuals they will be deeply rewarding, for those who want to make a difference and see the impact of their actions. We are seeking values driven leaders who work well within a collegiate team, who are clear in what we are trying to achieve and believe in the strength of the residents and communities of Stoke-on-Trent.
If you're up for the challenge, want to work in a city which is unique in the UK, a city of kindness and a city where care runs deep, we are keen for you to apply.
