Speciality and Associate Specialist (SAS) doctors across Scotland have been offered a 6% pay rise to ensure their salaries stay competitive with other parts of the UK.
University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust has agreed to lift the changes it made to pre-existing pay rates for doctors who do extra work, above and beyond their contracted working week.
The Scottish Government has formally offered a pay increase to resident doctors, formerly known as junior doctors, and dentists in training.
Consultants across Scotland have been offered a 10.5% uplift to basic pay, back dated to 1 April 2024, as well as a £5.7m investment in other contractual elements.
