Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the Royal United Hospitals Bath Foundation Trust and Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust have appointed Cara Charles-Barks as their joint chief executive.

Caterers, housekeepers, security guards, and porters working for Serco at Great Western Hospital, in Swindon, have begun 48 hours of strike action in their ongoing dispute over pay.
